We are hiring: Transportation Compliance Specialist
Job Description
• Review company records, driver documentation, to verify compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies. • Evaluate applications, records, or other documents to gather information related to regulatory eligibility or liability issues. • Advise management and company personnel regarding regulatory compliance obligations, and transportation laws. • Review and draft transportation-related contracts and compliance documentation. • Prepare reports summarizing compliance activities, evaluations, findings, and recommendations. • Communicate with government agencies regarding licensing, permits, regulatory filings, and other compliance matters affecting company operations. • Maintain records related to regulatory filings and compliance documentation. • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and operational requirements. • Coordinate with external legal counsel regarding legal risk management and regulatory matters. • Perform legal research on issues related to transportation law, including carrier liability and employment matters in the trucking sector. • Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and other applicable transportation laws and regulations.
Credentials Needed: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Law or a related field.
